The traditional linear economy model subjects the enviroment to unsustainable pressure and to an increasing production of waste. This is why we adopt circular economy criteria: it allows us to “re-evaluate” waste as a potential raw material.
The milling process of olives produces ground olive pits, pomace and leaves. These by-products are respectively used as green fuel for the plant’s boilers; as an organic fertilizer in our soils; as feed for the livestock sector.
